How fit do I need to be?
It doesn't matter - although we call ourselves a running tour, we would quite happily walk most of the way around the tour if it suits you. Nobody should be put off for fear of not being fit enough - we go at your pace, and nobody will be put in a position where they have to work too hard to enjoy it.
How big are the tour groups?
Often we will run a tour just for an individual, or just for the people booking together. However, where possible we will combine tours (if you are happy with this) to a maximum size of 6 people per guide.
The website doesn't list any tour times. Why is this?
We run bespoke tours, and organise them only when they are requested. Where possible, please give us at least 48 hours between booking and your requested time, but do not be afraid to book at shorter notice if needed!
Are there any times that are best to book a tour?
We can be flexible, but generally it is easiest to schedule a tour at the weekend, or outside of normal working hours during the week
(many of our guides have other jobs or are students). However, if this is not possible, don't be afraid to request another time, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
What should I wear?
Wear clothing that you would normally run in. Ensure that you wear comfortable running trainers which will be able to handle multiple surfaces including cobbled streets, especially if wet. Come prepared to deal with the weather, both as forecast and should unexpected changes happen.
What should I bring with me?
You don't need to bring anything other than yourselves (and payment, of course!). However, our tour guides will bring a bag in which you can put a limited number of items (dependent upon the number of others which wish to do likewise!) such as valuables, water, and potentially extra clothing. Feel free to bring a camera should you wish (as long as you are happy running with it).
Might my tour be cancelled?
If you're tour has been arranged, and you've not heard otherwise, assume we're still good to go. Our tours will almost always run regardless of the weather, as long as you are happy. In the extremely unlikely event that a tour needs to be cancelled, we will let you know as soon as possible, as long as you have provided us with suitable contact details.
